Jay Jordan - Golf Pro
Jay started in the golf business in 1985
as an assistant golf professional at the
Baton Rouge C.C. after graduating with a business degree from
Mississippi College.
In 1987 Jay took over as Assistant Pro at
the Golf Club of Avon in Avon, Connecticut. Jay spent 5 years there and
received the honor of assistant professional of the year in the
Connecticut Section. Jay took his first Head Pro job at Magnolia Grove
in Mobile, Alabama (a course that is one stop along the Robert Trent
Jones Golf Trail). Jay came back to
Mississippi in 1992 when he took the Head Pro/Superintendant position at
the Rolling Hills C.C. in Crystal Springs, MS. In 1997 Jay became the
Head Golf Pro at the Caroline Golf Club in Madison, MS. This was a brand
new facility and he helped with the grow in on the golf course. Jay has
also served as the Head Pro at the Refuge G.C. in Flowood, MS and as the
Teaching Pro at the Castlewoods C.C. in Brandon. Jay has worked at many
different types of facilities and at each one started a first class
junior program and men's and women's golf clinics throughout the years.
Jay has an extensive background in merchandising where he has been
nominated for merchandiser of the year on several occasions. Jay is also
an expert club
fitter as well as being able to change
lies and lofts on existing clubs.

Country Club Member-Guest
Tournament & Draw Down Gala
The weekend of April 19th
-20th we will be hosting the annual Member-Guest Tournament.
We are also having our DRAW DOWN GALA that Saturday evening. The
big event will begin at
6:00pm with an open bar and heavy hors d'oeurves. After the suspense is
over, there will be a dance with
a DJ and cash bar. Tickets are $100 for a chance to win a $5,000 Grand
Prize.
The last couple of years we have had trouble selling all 500 tickets. We
are getting started earlier than
usual in hopes that we can sell them all this year. We are asking all
those who normally participate
in the draw down please make an attempt to sell just 1 extra ticket and
encourage your guests
to attend the events. We're sure they will have a great time.
Crawfish Boil
We will also be having our CRAWFISH BOIL on Sunday afternoon,
April 20th. following
tournament play. This is shaping up to be a huge weekend for the club
and a big opportunity
for us to showcase what we have to offer. Please make plans to
participate.
If you do not want to participate in this year's Draw Down & Gala,
please call the office before
April 12 and the charge will be removed from your bill.
