Membership
Membership Agreement
In consideration for the entitlement of
benefits of membership in Canton Country Club, the new member agrees to
the following:
1. New members are liable for dues and food minimum charges for (1) one
year from the date of this agreement. Members may resign their
membership by submitting written notice to the Canton Country Club Board
of Directors at any time after this one (1) year period has expired.
Notice of resignation must be presented in writing, received by the
Canton Country Club Board of Directors, and acknowledged by signature
fifteen (15) days prior to the first (1st) day of the month in which the
resignation is to be effective. A Member's account has to be in good
standing and current before a resignation can be accepted.
2. Both the Applicant and his/her spouse shall be jointly liable for all
charges incurred during the term of their membership in Canton Country
Club.
3. Members specifically agree to hold harmless and indemnify, upon
demand, Canton Country Club for any and all liability, losses, costs and
expenses due to purposeful or negligent acts of the Member, their
children, guests or employees.
4. Members hereby state that they have received a copy of, read,
understand and agree to abide by the rules, regulations, by-laws and
policies of Canton Country Club which are incorporated herein. Members
further agree to abide by these rules, regulations, by laws and policies
as they are revised and amended in the future. Any provision found to be
invalid will be stricken from the Agreement, and the remainder of this
Agreement shall not be affected and will remain in full force and
effect.
5. Members agree to pay all accounts when due. A late fee of twenty-five
dollars ($25) will be added to any amounts over thirty (30) days past
due. In accordance with the by-laws, members with accounts sixty (60)
days past due will have their Club privileges suspended until their
account is brought current. Members will be responsible for all
attorney's fees and costs incurred by Canton Country Club in the event
that collection proceedings are undertaken to obtain amounts owed to the
Club. A copy of the accounts receivable collections procedures are
attached and should be initialed by the Member.
6. The Members assume all risks for their use of the Club and by signing
below, agree that Canton Country Club and it's Board of Directors and
Members will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage to person
or property related to the use of the Club by the Member, his/her guest
or family members.
7. Membership is subject to approval as provided by the by-laws of
Canton Country Club. The Board reserves the right, subject to a majority
vote, to grant individual Members exceptions from their obligations
under this Agreement based on specific circumstances without effecting
in any way their remaining obligations under this or any other
membership Agreement. The failure of the Canton Country Club to insist
upon strict performance of the obligations under this Agreement, shall
not constitute a waiver or relinquishment of any such obligations for
the future, and the same shall continue in full force and effect.
8. Canton Country Club reserves the right to terminate the membership of
any member for failure to comply with the rules, regulations, by-laws
and policies of Canton Country Club or for any conduct which the Board
of Directors determines to be improper or against the best interest of
Canton Country Club.
I hereby certify that I have read and fully understand
all the terms and conditions of this membership Agreement. I have also
received a copy of the Canton Country Club Rules, Regulations and
By-Laws, which I have read and understand. I agree to abide by all terms
of these documents as they now read and as they are amended in the
future.
